Heat and cold to produce electricity.
De la chaleur et du froid pour produire de l'électricité.
Author(s) : WELLSTEIN J.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The thermoelectric effect discovered by the German physicist Thomas Johann Seebeck in the early 19th century is becoming, thanks to recent research and development in materials, an interesting technological option for energy production. By modifying the structure in a targeted way, the properties of materials are optimized to enable use in thermoelectric applications.
