HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN THE HORIZONTAL TUBE BUNDLE ABSORBER.
Author(s) : IEDEMA P. D.
Type of article: Article
Summary
THE ABSORBERS AND DESORBERS OF ABSORPTION SYSTEMS USING LOW PRESSURE VISCOUS MIXTURES CAN BE MADE UP OF HORIZONTAL TUBE BUNDLES ON WHICH THE LIQUID FILM FLOWS DOWNWARDS. AN ABSORBER OF THIS TYPE WAS TESTED WITH THE LITHIUM BROMIDE-ZINC BROMIDE-METHANOL MIXTURE AND THE RESULTS WERE ANALYSED BY MEANS OF A SIMULATION MODEL DESCRIBING TRANSPORT PROCESSES IN THE FILM.
