Author(s) : IYOKI S., UEMURA T.

Type of article: Article, IJR article

Summary

THE HEAT CAPACITIES OF THE WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE SYSTEM WERE MEASURED IN THE TEMPERATURE RANGE 313.15-433.15 K. THOSE OF THE WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE-ZINC BROMIDE-LITHIUM CHLORIDE SYSTEM WERE ALSO MEASURED IN THE TEMPERATURE RANGE 373.15-433.15 K. AN EMPIRICAL FORMULA FOR THE WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE SYSTEM WAS OBTAINED BY THE LEAST-SQUARES METHOD. THE CALCULATED VALUES WERE IN GOOD AGREEMENT WITH LITERATURE VALUES OBTAINED IN THE RANGE OF LOW TEMPERATURES. IN ADDITION, THE HEAT CAPACITY DATA OBTAINED FOR THE WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE-ZINC BROMIDE-LITHIUM CHLORIDE SYSTEM WERE COMPARED WITH THE CALCULATED VALUES FROM UEDA'S EQUATION WHICH IS APPLICABLE AT LOW TEMPERATURES, AND THEY AGREED WELL.
