STUDIES ON HEAT EXCHANGE INTENSIFICATION DURING CONDENSATION OF AMMONIA ON BUNDLES OF WIRE FINNED HORIZONTAL TUBES WERE CARRIED OUT BY THE AA. THE DISCUSSION OF RESULTS IS PRESENTED AND CONCLUSIONS WERE DRAWN ABOUT INCREASING THE HEAT EXCHANGE COEFFICIENTS BY 1.3 TO 1.7 TIMES WHEN USING WIRE-FINNED TUBES IN COMPARISON WITH THE CASE OF SMOOTH TUBE BUNDLE DESIGN.
