Heat exchanger analysis for nonazeotropic refrigerant mixtures.

Author(s) : POZ M. Y., CONKLIN J. C.

Summary

A fundamental method for analyzing moist air heat exchangers using pure refrigerants and nonazeotropic refrigerant mixtures is presented. Both single- and two-phase refrigerants can be analyzed with this method. Algorithms for the use of this model, data, and calculated thermal performance for two conventional types of air-side geometries are presented. A comparison of crossflow, crosscounterflow and counterflow heat exchangers is given. The algorithms are sufficient for design and development of equipment.
