Summary
Heat pump applications in the residential sector in Europe are strongly dependent on the development of energy prices. Heat recovery is the main application in hospitals and recreation centers, where the heat pump unit is only one part of a sophisticated, carefully designed integrated energy system controlled by a computerized energy management system. Reduction of emissions constitute an additional advantage.
