HEAT PUMP FOR LOW-TEMPERATURE DRYING TUNNEL.

Author(s) : PETRÁK J., DVORAK Z.

Summary

AIR CIRCULATION WITH 25% EXTERNAL AIR WAS CHOSEN FOR DRYING HOPS. AIR AT 328 K (55 DEG C) WITH 10 G/KG MOISTURE FLOWS THROUGH THE DRIER AND, AFTER PARTIAL CHANGE, IS COOLED AND DRIED ON AIR COOLERS COOLED BY THE WATER AT 278 K (5 DEG C) FROM THE HEAT PUMP. THE CYCLE IS CLOSED BY AIR FLOWING ON A SECTION HEATED BY THE HOT WATER FROM THE HEAT PUMP. THE USE OF A SECONDARY HEAT TRANSFER CIRCUIT REDUCES THE COP, BUT IT MAKES THE HEAT PUMP INDEPENDENT OF THE DRIER THAT CAN BE USED OUT OF SEASON.
