Summary
In order to meet target of low Global Warming Potential (GWP) working fluid, refrigerant blends based on HFO1234yf and HFC32 have been considered extensively as alternative refrigerant for different types of HVAC systems. These blends are of interest as it can exploit the low GWP value of HFO1234yf while taking advantage of HFC32 more favourable thermos-physical properties. The two-phase heat transfer coefficient data for these blends therefore have significant practical importance when it comes to design calculation or simulation of evaporator unit. In this work, the heat transfer coefficient is measured inside mini-channel tubes, and the effect of mass flux, heat flux, and vapor quality on the heat transfer coefficient is analysed. We made extensive comparison of the heat transfer coefficient data to existing correlation, and we finely tune coefficient for the best prediction of the new database, which can come handy for engineering applications.
