Summary

Heat transfer and friction factor analysis of the air-side performances of a wavy fin-and-tube heat exchanger was performed. Three-dimensional steady-state fluid flow and heat transfer mathematical model has been solved using CFD software based on control volume numerical method. The influence of various local flow regimes on heat transfer and pressure drop due to the changes of frontal velocity has been shown. The numerical results have been compared to experimental measurements and existing correlations. Good agreement between the results was found.
