Heat transfer study of surface air coolers. 4. Another empirical formula of total heat transfer coefficient of a water-cooled surface air cooler.

Type of article: Article
Summary
The authors considers that the currently used empirical formula of the total heat transfer coefficient of water-cooled surface air coolers does not reflect the role of the tube wall and fins in heat conduction. Using the relationship between the contact factor and the heat transfer coefficient on the air side, puts forward a new formula. The experiments show that the formula has higher fitting precision.
