Heat transfer to supercritical carbon dioxide in tubes with mixed convection.

Author(s) : WALISCH T., TREPP C.

Summary

The authors present results from extensive measurements of thermodynamic properties of CO2 near the critical point (31.1 deg C, 7,38 megapascals). This kind of data are of vital importance in the design process, since heat rejection in most heat pumping installations normally takes place above the critical point. They present heat transfer calculations for CO2 heat exchangers in the supercritical region.
