Summary
In the past, systems utilizing fin-tube-type heat exchangers were common place. Now, brine is used in place of circulating water in a cooling tower, to absorb heat by direct contact with the air, in a heating tower system of a heat-pump type. A heating tower needs special consideration in its design, because of the brines to be used. The article describes a heating tower from the design and structural aspect, as compared to a cooling tower.
