HEVAC gets a breath of fresh air.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Describes an innovative approach to air conditioning developed in France and recently installed in the United Kingdom for the first time. Known as the air treatment module, the system combines the flexibility and ease of maintenance of variable volume air conditioning with the localised control of the environment provided by conventional fan coil units. Supply and return ducts through the ceiling void supply individual zones up to 25 m away. Each zone is served by its own air treatment module, allowing its occupants to control their local environment (several high tech office buildings in Paris-La Défense district, France).
