High performance absorption cycle with auxiliary refrigerant circulation.

Author(s) : KASHIWAGI T.

Type of article: Article

Summary

With the help of a computer simulation, the paper discusses the basic principle of this cycle and presents technical criteria for the choice of auxiliary refrigerant, which plays an important role in cooling cycle efficiency. The performance of a 'real-type' experimental system in actual conditions was verified by tests conducted on an experimental apparatus. As a result of these experiments, the effect of chilled water outlet temperature and auxiliary refrigerant circulation ratio on the absorption cycle was clarified, the cycle's principle was demonstrated, and its practicability and usefulness were realized.
