HIGH SENSITIVITY PRESSURE GAUGE FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF LOW PRESSURES AT LOW TEMPERATURE.

JAUGE DE HAUTE SENSIBILITE POUR LES MESURES DE FAIBLES PRESSIONS A BASSE TEMPERATURE.

Author(s) : COLLAUDIN B., HEBRAL B.

Summary

A HIGH SENSITIVITY PRESSURE GAUGE HAS BEEN DEVELOPED FOR IN SITU MEASUREMENTS OF POLARIZED ATOMIC HYDROGEN DENSITY AT LOW TEMPERATURE (T HIGHER THAN ABOUT 100 MILLIK) AND HIGH MAGNETIC FIELDS (B NOT HIGHER THAN 14 T). A CAPACITIVE DETECTION IS USED AND THE CALIBRATION IS DONE AGAINST HELIUM 3 AND HELIUM 4 VAPOUR PRESSURE. PRESSURES IN THE RANGE 0.0001-15 PASCALS ARE DETECTED.
