Summary
Horticulture is the science or art of growing fruit, vegetables, flowers and ornamental plants. The European Union appears to be one of the leading actors of horticulture worldwide, whether it be for production, consumption or commercial exchanges. The originality of the European Union is due to the variety of products grown specifically in its various regions, from cabbage and turnips in Northern Europe to citrus fruit in Greece. The European Union alo plays an important part in fruit and vegetable imports and exports.
