Household compressor manufacturers adopting HFC refrigerants: the complete lubricants package.
Author(s) : GREIG B. D.
Summary
The paper describes in detail the properties of a new R134 and R12 compatible oil, which makes possible a successful switch from R12 to R134a. Lubricating oils for use in compressor component processing, and corrosion preventives for use in storage of these components, make it possible to use R134 in a mounted compressor without the risk of the capillaries' getting blocked by impurities. Among the Icematic SW properties are inhibition of copper plating of the compressor components, water stability and reduced compressor wear.
