WITH THE DEVICE DESCRIBED IT IS POSSIBLE TO RECOVER THE HEAT SURPLUS OF OFFICES DURING THE DAY BY MEANS OF A PIPE SYSTEM LINKED TO HEAT PUMPS, AND THEN TO DIFFUSE THIS SURPLUS AT NIGHT AND DURING WEEKENDS, WHEN THE OFFICES ARE EMPTY. BECAUSE OF THE VARIATION BETWEEN THE NEED FOR COLD AND THE NEED FOR HEAT, IT IS NECESSARY TO STORE COLD AS ICE, AND HEAT AS WATER AT A TEMPERATURE SUPERIOR TO 323 K (50 DEG C). J.L.
