Author(s) : HAGE M., KRIEGSMANN A.

Type of article: Article

Summary

MEASURES TO DEVELOP MORE COMPACT, EFFICIENT AND ECONOMICAL CONDENSERS BY THE USE OF ENHANCED FINNED TUBES ARE DESCRIBED IN TERMS OF CONDENSER FUNCTIONS AND VARYING CONSTRAINTS. THE EFFECTS OF DIFFERING BUNDLE GEOMETRIES AND WATER FLOWS ARE CONSIDERED. INITIAL MEASUREMENTS OF LONG-TERM EFFECTS SUCH AS FOULING AND CORROSION ARE REPORTED. THE APPLICABILITY OF TEST DATA FOR SINGLE TUBES TO THEIR PERFORMANCE IN BUNDLES IS DISCUSSED, AND APPROACHES TO AN EFFECTIVE LAYOUT OF CONDENSERS ARE PRESENTED.
