Summary
High cooling loads in the range of 100 to 200 watts per square meter in rooms with high quality acoustic requirements (between 15 and 25 decibels) can only be transported with static cooling devices and ventilation for hygienic requirements. Cooling coils with vertical air flow through the fin packages at the upper end of a stack are a very promising design. The relations of variables like height and width of gap, height and width of stack, width of the coil, the temperature difference, the heat transfer and the optainable cooling capacity are demonstrated. A specific example is described, showing the practicability of the system.
