Summary
Based on long professional experience (500 people for an annual turnover of 500 billion francs before taxes) in air-conditioning engineering (design, construction, operation and management), the author defines the roles of the different parties involved in centralized air-conditioning plants, by specifying the different technical and economic administrative taskss to be undertaken by each partner. Their respective requirements and the conditions to observe for inside comfort and external environment are underlined, as well as the main potential difficulties and reliability criteria. As a conclusion, the necessity of an active participation of all people involved is stressed, and a concrete example is given. Y.G.
