IMPROVED CONTROL OF LIQUID INJECTION INTO DISPLAY CASE EVAPORATORS.

Author(s) : THUESEN S. E., WINTER J.

Summary

THE BASIC REFRIGERATING SUBSYSTEM OF DISPLAY CASES (THE EVAPORATOR AND ITS EXPANSION VALVE) IS OUTLINED AND DISCUSSED, WITH THE AIM OF PROVING THE ANNUAL SAVINGS ON COMPRESSOR ENERGY CONSUMPTION DUE TO REDUCTION OF THE CONDENSING TEMPERATURE MADE POSSIBLE BY IMPROVED LIQUID INJECTION MEANS. A MATHEMATICAL SIMULATION MODEL HAS BEEN DEVELOPED AND THE RESULTS ARE REPORTED. IN ADDITION TO THE ENERGY SAVINGS MENTIONED, OTHER POTENTIAL BENEFITS ARE BRIEFLY COMMENTED ON.
