Improved cylindrical system for the magnetocaloric refrigerator.
Author(s) : TASKAEV S. V., BUCHELNIKOV V. D., BEKETOV V. N., et al.
Summary
In this paper, the authors consider the problem of optimizing the magnetic field source for the magnetocaloric refrigerator. Both theoretical and experimental aspects of the optimization magnetic field source are discussed. The magnet configuration and discretisation of the magnetic field source structure are optimized with the help of COMSOL software. The basic principles of the magnetic system design and scheme of the assembly Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets are presented as well as magnetic induction measurements inside air gap of the magnetic system. The maximal magnetic induction of the system is up to 1.45 T within the air gap of 18 mm. The main advantage of the proposed magnetic field source is by using a common ring and cylindrical magnets produced by numerous enterprises.
