Improvements in the efficiency of turboexpanders in cryogenic applications.
Author(s) : AGAHI R. R., LIN M. C., ERSHAGHI B.
Summary
Turboexpander manufacturers have adopted computational fluid dynamic software, computer numerical control technology and holography techniques to further improve an already impressive turboexpander efficiency performance. The authors explain the design process of the turboexpander utilizing modern technology. Two cases of turboexpanders processing helium (4.35 K) and hydrogen (56 K) will be presented.
