IMPROVEMENTS OF THE COP FOR SMALL HEAT PUMPS BY MEANS OF BURST CONTROL.

Author(s) : FORDSMAND M.

Summary

THE USE OF ON-OFF CONTROL IS EFFICIENT AND INEXPENSIVE. THE STARTING CURRENT HAS NO EFFECT ON COP FOR OFF-PERIODS OF MORE THAN 10 S. THE IMPROVEMENTOF COP IS MAXIMUM WHEN THE TEMPERATURE OF COLD AND HEAT SOURCES DEPEND ON HEAT LOAD. INTERNAL SPRINGS SHOULD BE RECONSTRUCTED. THE EFFECT OF THIS PRINCIPLE ON THE BEHAVIOUR OF THERMOSTATIC EXPANSION VALVES SHOULD BE STUDIED.
