Summary
This study, performed by ILK Dresden, aims at improving the tightness of refrigerating components through actions supported by the refrigeration profession for the refrigerating research council's programme and working out propositions for tightness improvement with the objective of dividing leakage rates by a factor of ten. Extract from the table of contents: tightness description; outline of the standards requirements and recommendations and the sets of rules concerning tightness, detection of leakages and tests; presentation of leakage research/ tightness examination in manufacturing of refrigerating components and in the construction of refrigerating plants: description of the tightness in accordance with existing knowledge; efforts and/or activities aimed at improving tightness in Germany and abroad; propositions concerning actions for improving tightness with the aim of dividing leakage rates by a factor of ten; proposals for allowed leakage rates.
