Summary
THE AUTHORS STUDIED THE EFFECT OF SOME GEOMETRICAL PARAMETERS ON HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER AND ON PRESSURE DROP IN FINNED HEAT EXCHANGERS. THE OBSERVATIONS WERE MADE FROM MEASUREMENTS ON 8 DIFFERENT EXCHANGERS FOR REYNOLDS NUMBERS RANGING BETWEEN 3,000 AND 20,000. THE AUTHORS STUDIED THE EFFECT OF SMOOTH OR WAVY FINS, OF THE NUMBER OF TUBE ROWS AND OF THE ARRANGEMENT OF TUBES IN THE EXCHANGER ON HEAT TRANSFER AND FRICTION FACTORS.
