Summary

For louver fin geometry at a fixed louver length, a 10% decrease in heat transfer performance on the air side is observed and a 41% decrease of pressure drop is seen for the oval tube. For the plain fin and V fr less than 2 m/s, the heat transfer for an oval tube is slightly higher than for a round tube. For V fr more than 2 m/s, plain fin and oval tubes show 100% lower pressure drop when compared to the round tube but heat transfer decreases for oval tubes.
