Summary

Heat transfer on the bubble wall, which is mainly governed by the temperature gradient, causes the thermal damping of the bubble motion. This damping behaviour is influenced by the initial bubble radius. Mass transfer on the bubble wall, which is influenced by diffusion phenomena between vapour and noncondensable gas, also greatly affects the bubble motion.
