Influence of suction line on compressor performances.

Author(s) : MOZZON G., GENONI C.

Summary

The paper deals with an experimental application of the supercharging phenomenon in the small reciprocating compressors. The idea is to exploit the resonance condition of the gas contained within the suction line in order to make the suction phase more efficient. It explains the basic theory, takes into account the outcome of the tests and eventually offers the key to limit the noise emission.
