Instrumental air-cooling drying installation for ships.

Author(s) : IOSIFESCU C., DAMIAN V.

Summary

The paper deals with the possibility of using an installation for refrigeration drying of compressed air needed at the pneumatic operations on ships. Water vapour in moist air causes certain drawbacks upon normal performance characteristics of equipment using compressed air. Compared with other drying methods such as water cooling, absorption or adsorption, the proposed drying technique provides a drying degree over 98%. In addition, full automation is possible for the suggested installation.
