Mechanism and theoretical calculation of the frost formation process in a plate evaporator for compressed damp air.

Author(s) : SHEN Y. N., CHEN S. H.

Summary

An investigation of frost formation process of compressed damp air in a plate evaporator was carried out. The sliding density of the frost was analyzed based on the model of molecular diffusion. An equation for the coagulating rate of the water vapour considering the undulation of frost density and environmental temperature was presented. Some conclusions have been drawn according to the results of the numerical calculation.
