Summary

A GROUND-AIR HEAT PUMP PROVIDES HOT AIR HEATING. HOT AIR IS DISTRIBUTED BY A NETWORK OF ULTRAFLAT DUCTS EMBEDDED IN THE FLOOR AND DELIVERY AIR OUTLETS. AMBIENT AIR IS RETURNED BY A SECOND DUCT NETWORK UNDER THE CEILING AND FRESH AIR IS SUCKED BY THE PUMP. THE ADVANTAGES OF THE SYSTEM ARE ITS LOW THERMAL INERTIA, A GOOD TEMPERATURE HOMOGENEITY, A REDISTRIBUTION OF FREE HEAT (SOLAR EXPOSURE). THE REVERSIBILITY OF THE SYSTEM PROVIDES SUMMER AIR CONDITIONING. THE PUMP CAN ALSO PRODUCE DOMESTIC HOT WATER. THE PLANT IS SHOWN IN PHOTOGRAPHS. J.L.
