THE EXERGETIC ANALYSIS OF SYSTEMS IS EXTREMELY POWERFUL SINCE IT USES A CALCULATION PROCESS BASED ON EXERGY, WHICH INCLUDES THE FIRST AND THE SECOND LAWS OF THERMODYNAMICS. THIS EXERGETIC CALCULATION MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO EVALUATE QUANTITATIVELY WHAT IS QUALITATIVELY CALLED ENERGY DEGRADATION, IE TO CALCULATE WITH ACCURACY THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE VARIOUS PHENOMENA OF THERMODYNAMIC IRREVERSIBILITY, THUS CONVENIENTLY TO ESTIMATE THE THERMODYNAMIC LOSSES OF A SYSTEM. CONSEQUENTLY, THE EXERGETIC CALCULATION PROCESS MAKES IT POSSIBLE CORRECTLY TO DEFINE A THERMODYNAMIC BALANCE EXPRESSING THE DEGREE OF PERFECTION.
