Investigation of the characteristics of evaporation heat transfer for carbon dioxide in a vertical tube.

Author(s) : CHOI J. B., YOON S. H., KIM Y. J., et al.

Summary

The test section was made of a seamless stainless steel tube with an inner diameter of 4.55 mm, an outer diameter of 6.35 mm, a wall thickness of 0.9 mm, and a length of 1.9 m. Experiments were conducted at saturation temperatures ranging from -5 to 10 °C, heat fluxes from 20 to 60 kW/m2 and mass fluxes from 300 to 600 kg/m2s. Heat transfer coefficients were presented for several test conditions.
