Summary
THE SUPERCONDUCTING TRANSITION IN TWO MODIFICATIONS OF BETA-(BEDT-TTF)2 I3 WITH CRITICAL TEMPERATURES AROUND 1.5 AND 7.5 K IS INVESTIGATED. THE RESULTS INDICATE THAT IN BOTH TYPES OF CRYSTALS THE SUPERCONDUCTIVITY IS OF A BULK NATURE. AN ANISOTROPY OF THE DIAMAGNETIC SUSCEPTIBILITY IN THE A AND C. DIRECTIONS IS OBSERVED. THE DIAMAGNETIC TRANSITION IS FOUND TO BE SHIFTED TOWARD LOWER TEMPERATURES AS COMPARED TO THE RESISTIVE TRANSITION. POSSIBLE CAUSES OF SUCH BEHAVIOUR ARE DISCUSSED.
