THE AIM OF SECOND GENERATION TECHNOLOGY IS TO STRUCTURE HEAT EXCHANGER SURFACES IN SUCH A WAY THAT THE PHYSICAL PROCESSES THAT IMPROVE THE HEAT EXCHANGE ARE FUNDAMENTALLY PROMOTED. DESCRIBED IS A METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF SURFACE BOILING PLANES AND THE IMPROVEMENTS ACHIEVED IN THE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT IN THE BOILING OF OIL-FREE R113.
