LIQUEFACTION CYCLE DEVELOPMENTS.

Summary

THE NIGERIAN PLANT FOR LNG PRODUCTION WILL BE COMPOSED OF TWO CIRCUITS WITH A TOTAL CAPACITY OF 4,5 MILLION TONS OF LNG A YEAR, WITH A MARGIN FOR FURTHER DEVELOPMENT. THE PROCESS SELECTED IS A SYSTEM OF TWO-STAGE COOLING WITH A MIXED REFRIGERANT ; IT IS THE FIRST APPLICATION OF THIS TYPE IN THE LARGE-SCALE PRODUCTION OF LNG. THE COMPRESSORS OF THE REFRIGERANT IN EACH TRAIN WILL BE DRIVEN BY TWO GAS TURBINES, ONE PROVIDING PRECOOLING AND THE OTHER LIQUEFACTION. THE WASTE HEAT WILL BE RECOVERED AND WILL OPERATE ALL THE HEATING SERVICES OF THE PLANT.
