Summary
A theoretical review is carried out on the hydrogen element and its special properties that influence the process of liquefaction. The author then describes the Air Liquide liquid-hydrogen production plant in Kourou, French Guyana. Some thoughts on the production and transport of liquid hydrogen in very large quantities are presented.
