Summary

COMPARISON STUDIES OF ELASTIC CHARACTERISTICS FOR METALLIC GLASSES OF DIFFERENT COMPOSITION ARE CARRIED OUT. TIME RELAXATION OF THE DENSITY OF STATES IN TWO-LEVEL SYSTEMS IS FOUND. THE PHYSICAL NATURE OF DIFFERENT CONTRIBUTIONS TO SOUND VELOCITY IN A LOW-TEMPERATURE REGION IS CONSIDERED. TAKING BERYLLIUM BRONZE AS AN EXAMPLE, IT IS SHOWN THAT THE ALLOY DISORDER INFLUENCES APPRECIABLY THE SOUND VELOCITY BEHAVIOUR.
