Summary

THE PRESERVED STRAINS HAVE BEEN STUDIED BY BOTH DIFFERENT FREEZING AND THAWING RATES AND WITH DIFFERENT CRYOPROTECTIVE AGENTS. THE MORPHOLOGY OF COLONIES AND THE CONSTITUTION OF SPORES DO NOT CHANGE AFTER CRYOPRESERVATION. THE SURVIVAL OF THE STRAINS IS HIGHER THAN 90%, AND IN THE SHAKE TEST CRYOPRESERVATION IS SHOWN TO BE SUPERIOR TO SAND PRESERVATION.
