Summary

THE LOW-TEMPERATURE CHARACTERISTICS OF EASY PLANE FERROMAGNETICS WITH DIFFERENT ION ANISOTROPY LOCATED IN AN EXTERNAL MAGNETIC FIELD PERPENDICULAR TO THE CHOSEN PLANE ARE CALCULATED. THE RATIO OF THE ANISOTROPY CONSTANT TO THE EXCHANGE CONSTANT IS THE SMALL PARAMETER OF THE PROBLEM. THE FORMULAS OBTAINED TAKE INTO ACCOUNT EXPLICITLY THE FINITE MAGNITUDE OF THE SITE SPIN.
