Lubrication of screw compressor bearings in the presence of refrigerants.

Author(s) : JACOBSON B.

Summary

The paper describes experiments performed to determine the properties of somes alternative compressor lubricants tested in bearing test machines. These included a ball bearing test, a taper roller bearing flange contact test and a test with sets of angular contact ball bearings under different loads to study how the behaviour of the refrigerant-lubricant mixture changes during the flow through a set of three bearings in each direction.
