Maintenance for cooling tower system.
[In Japanese. / En japonais.]
Author(s) : SAKAI Y.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Maintenance for cooling towers should be aimed not only at the tower itself, but also at the whole cooling water system to secure cooling performance, which is the major role of the system. Corrosion-inhibition of apparatuses and pipings, environmental sanitation of the tower surroundings, and control of biological fouling are most important. Several methods of controlling Legionella pneumophila propagation are explained, along with how to obtain the proper condition of the water.
