Man's thermal protection and comfort: requirements, testing methods, simulation.
Author(s) : VARIERAS-PINIEC S., BISCARAT-AYMES S.
Summary
Each protective garment solution evaluated to comfort level is concerned by actual methods simulating the behaviour of human body. Now, the quality level reached by the thermal models related to the human body implies that their use is extended to different environments or conditions. So, to develop a strategy to ameliorate the thermal comfort combined with protection in extreme conditions, the Institut Textile de France investigates in biothermal models, in new testing methods.
