Market experience with hydrocarbons in Germany.
Author(s) : SCHIEFELBEIN K.
Summary
Comparisons of performances in heat pump mode, are presented, for propane, R407C and R22. The acceptance of hydrocarbons as a refrigerant for heat pumps is good in the middle and the north of Europe; the development of international norms and standards will further improve this acceptance; and the only remaining obstacle for the use of hydrocarbons as refrigerant is their rejection by parts of the refrigeration industry and especially the American compressor manufacturers.
