Mathematical modelling of the solid-absorption process for system simulation.

Author(s) : WORSOE-SCHMIDT P., LIN G.

Summary

The paper describes two approaches to the modelling of the absorption-desorption process, both of which are simple enough to be used in connection with the simulation of entire systems. One is based on a finite-difference solution of the complete heat conduction equation for the absorber, whereas the other utilises a lumped-parameter model of the absorption-desorption process which implies the assumption of a definite reaction front. Both procedures are suited for simulation on PCs.
