Experiments on a 10 kilowatt pilot of a double effect heat transformation (180-220 deg C) and cooling (-5 deg C).

Expérimentation sur un pilote de 10 kilowatts de puissance d'une thermotransformation (180-220 deg C) et d'une production de froid (-5 deg C) à double effet.

Summary

Revamping a chemical heat transformer pilot plant was necessary for experiments on two original processes: heat transformer with operating temperatures higher than 150 deg C, and double effect cold machine with internal heat recovery. The experiments demonstrate the feasibility of these two processes using the two solid-gas couples magnesium chloride-ammonia and nickel chloride-ammonia. The work points out several problems linked to the high temperature levels used and the strong variation of temperature induced during the cycles.
