An experimental study and simulation on adsorption heat pump cycle process.

Author(s) : TAN Y. K., ZHU D.-S.

Summary

A practical numerical model was developed to simulate the behaviour of the adsorption and desorption process. A closed cycle regenerative (zeolite-water) adsorption heat pump system was built to demonstrate the practical applicability in the air-conditioning process. The model was tested by comparing the simulated and the measured values. Experimental and predicted COP values of the adsorption heat pump as a function of operating temperatures were discussed. The optimum regenerator temperature could be calculated to obtain the maximum COP by the simulation model.
