Summary

In a friendly takeover, Johnson Controls took over MC International in April 2001. By acquiring MCI, the American giant has considerably broadened its product range in France and now has a good base on which to build up a pole of development in the service field within Europe. The Vice-President of Johnson Controls' European service entity considers that MC International's technological know-how and skills in the service field will enable the group to achieve pan-European growth in the refrigerating-equipment field.
